Just to confirm, for the awards (most TD’s, most CAS, best Def) are they all being averaged out over the league games played? Cheers.

Why the requirement to start with at least 1 FF? It seems to apply a bit of a penalty to those teams with the more expensive players (where every GP matters).

The one FF requirement is to force a bit more thought into the teams, the point is that at the stage of creation you should be having to make a few tough choices.

The awards (Most TDs, Cas, best def, etc) will be calculated based on scores gained during the group stage League games and the first round of the knock out stage (Friendlies do not count). They will not be calculated on an average basis this year.

Cards:- an old question from last year. Are we playing the variable deck costs on page 103 of the Almanac (ie Misc Mayhem costs 200,00, Dirty Tricks and Random Events 50,000, and the other 3 100,000 each)? Are we banning any particular decks (eg Misc Mayhem) on the basis that the cards are over-powered?
There are a variety of weather rules. These include the Icy Pitch variant that comes with the icy pitch and involves sliding around and the special Winter and Underground weather variants at the end of the Almanac. So which ones are we to use?
Regards C

There are no banned card, if you can afford them you can buy them. Bear in mind tho that they are random selections so pick lucky people.
The special pitch rules will replace the not.al weather table if you use the special pitch. Use the standard weather table unless you are using a pitch/stadium/magic spell which says otherwise. Easy.

Major change from last year we only play each other once during the league stage. How do we determine who is at home?

Coaches can either decide between themselves who is at home or can roll of before the game starts.

Group 1 Chris Richards, Greg Farrell, Richard Moorhouse and Luke Blaxill Group 2 Tim Harper, Mark Merfield, Chris Catling and Simon Chandler Group 3 Mike Watkins, Paul Keyes, Edwin Smith and Matt Teager Group 4 Paul Baker, Pete Hales, Paul Rivett and XXXXXX Each coach to play everyone in their league once. Decide between yourselves or roll of for who is playing at home. You have until the 23rd of February 2019 to play all your group league games, that’s about one a month, even we should be able to manage that? 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. The two top team from each group will go through to knock out stages. 1st knockout round (A) Winner of Group 1 vs Runner up of Group 4 ( Winner of Group 2 vs Runner up of Group 3 (C) Winner of Group 3 vs Runner up of Group 2 (D) Winner of Group 4 vs Runner up of Group 1 2nd Knockout round Winner of (A) vs Winner of (C) Winner of ( vs Winner of (D) Final between the winner of round 2 and playoff for 3rd between the losers. Some things to note: The four minute per turn rule is in effect from the beginning of the tournament Those coaches that are using Big Guys this tournament: Please check that you have access to the General Skill list before giving your guys Block skill on anything other than a double roll. Last season there appeared to be a lot of doubles rolled for skill selection by the larger models in the tournament… The current holder of the SELWG Cup (Edwin) gets to use it as a free re-roll in his group games, as long as he has it with him and it’s on the table.

Hi Chris, can I just confirm that cards are purchased using the variable cost on pg 103 of the Almanac (I'm guessing so). Cheers

Coaches,
I hope everyone had a sufficiently gory Christmas and are planning on getting plenty of BloodBowl played after he winter break is done. Your commisioners have a quick rules update for the league:
Coaches may not fire players if it would take their team below 11 full time players
That is all, enjoy.

Coaches,
A brief update/clarification
The current holder of the SELWG League Cup gets to use it (the cup) as a free re-roll in their games which fall within the group stages of the tournament. This will include both league games and friendlies played during the group stages. Once the knockout stages have begun the cup will no longer be able to be utilised as a re-roll. In order to make use of this benefit the holder of the cup is required to have it in their posession and on display on the table they are playing the game on
