Finally finished my Betrayal at Calth box in all it's glory.
They were a bit of an experiment,
first time using microset/sol for decals,
first time using cork for basing like that,
first time painting chipping, first time applying pin washing,
and first time using matte varnish to complete it.
On all accounts I'd call them a resounding success, and they're all snug as a bug in a rug with the foam insert I cut to fit them all perfectly
You'll notice they're all named, to the best of my ability correct to the books. However was rather hard since they only really gave names to Ultramarines, and then almost all to Cataphratii, further complicated by the fact that there was at least 2-3 squads of Cataphractii operating in the books, let alone the number of tactical squads. Still
gives them all character.
Had some friends round to play it as well today, I really love the rules, simple and elegant. And I love the Mk.IV power armour, if only I had the wallet to play 30k proper!
