This is just an interest page to see if its worth starting something at the club so please post your interest in playing Age Of Sigmar in a more formal structure... ie a league or competition of some sort.

Definitely up for something, especially a slow grow or path to glory or something

Well that's a better turnout! I'll announce that we've got a better showing tonight to see if we can make it up to 10 players or even more. Then we can discuss what format we'd like to play. Though any suggestion are welcome of course.

How about we do a ladder tournament / league? As we’re all pretty new to AoS why don’t we keep it fairly open and say no set armies and games can be 1000pts plus? That means people can try different armies out and not be locked into the same list for the entire thing. It should also mean that the entry requirement would be quiet low so more new starters could play.
Basically everyone’s name goes into a list and then you challenge people on the list; if you win and they were higher in the list than you, you swap places. If they were lower than you, you go up one place and they go down one. Keep it nice and open this year and if people fancy it do something more competitive next year with prizes?
As the whole thing is fairly admin light I don’t mind collating results and keeping track of the ladder…

I was thinking along the same lines as Chris, with a ladder systems just to get people playing and learning without the competitive pressure. Chris suggestion of a flexible points level is a great idea just arrange the game at the level you have the models for, feel comfortable with etc.. so I second Chris' idea.

Yeah got to agree with Chris, I'd definitely look at a ladder system and if people have a good time I'm happy to help out with creating a campaign later in the year. I'd also suggest open lists between opponents, so that everyone knows what different things can do rather than having to explain each unit in each game.

Go on then, put my name down. Not promising I'll play more than a game or two but will give it another go.
