As usual Mark a very thorough & detailed report. I wish my models could do the pics justice. Hopefully this will soon be the case once I get my finger out. I will attempt to put the league tables in the first post of each league, with results/reports below as games progress.

League table updated with the second game in this league.
Dan & Mark faced off with Dan the victor in Pillage (2-1 on objectives) going the full 7 turns! Mark eliminated 1220pts of Dwarfs, while Dan removed 1650pts.
Top or the table clash on the 21st as Dan & i are due to play.

Thanks Mark, another entertaining read. Here are two more results to publish.
First the top of the table clash with Dan & i.
Going the full 7 turns in the Kill scenario i was the lucky victor, by the smallest of margins (200pts). As you could imagine a cagey affair with either player looking for the smallest advantage.
With his Gem of Zellak Dan enjoyed the advantage in deployment by putting his main force on side of the board. However he left his Rangers isolated on the other side, hooping to shoot off some way wood Hellhounds. Not quite routing the Hellhounds, the Rangers paid the price later.
With the limited maneuverability the Dwarfs held their lines with the Brock Riders trying to get round my flank. The Arch Fiend was able to remove both Flame Belchers before they could cause much damage.
There then followed a serious of combats which saw both sides take casualties. Dan had a nasty surprise when a unit of Succubi got into the flank of a horde of Shieldbreakers with 50 attacks.
The last turns came down to my horde of lower Abyssal's v the two Greater Earth Elementals. The Lower A's were able to rout one GEE & then reform to avoid the deadly flank charge from the other.(1250 v 1450)
The other game also featured Dan & the President. Not many details here, but Dan won 2000 v 825.
Tables updated. Although Dan should be top at present.

I played my last game in the Abyssal group on Friday against Alex. In the dominate scenario, Alex scraped a win having the requisite 200pt advantage in the centre circle (640pts vs 325pts). In terms of kill points, Alex and his sleazy untrustworthy elves( ), back stabbed 1150pts of the noble Herd, whilst Khazbar eradicated 1075pts of the elven vermin. Thanks for that Mark.
Last Friday i played the President in a Kill mission & was the fortunate victor. A couple of deployment errors by the President caused his right flank to collapse. With the speed of the FOA i was able to exploit this, which then caused the re-direction of units from his left flank leaving this area crucially under resourced.
The President 460vp Neil R 1115vp.

League table updated with game between myself & Alex.
Playing dominate i was the fortunate victor. Alex 790 Neil R 860
As usual with KOW deployment is so important. Alex bottled most of his army up in one area, which put him on the back foot in the early stages of the battle.
I was also very fortunate to take off the Stormwind Cav (with breath weapon) with one lightning bolt (5) form the Abyssal Champ on a pony. 5 dice 4's to hit 4's to wound = 4 wounds, 9 to rout. Morale of the story need more inspiring to avoid these freak results.
By mid game he had made some inroads into the FOA with his dragoon being particularly useful.
However the scenario never favored the Elves, with their sit back & shoot policy, when they really need to be moving forward. Having to cross a river did not help either. Who picked this table edge?
In the end the Dragon was wavered by a barrage of fireballs (18 wounds), leaving it prone to either a charge from the Archfiend, or yet another barrage of Fireballs in my T6.
At this point Alex conceded at the end of T5.
Bearing in mind this was only Alex's 5th game, he put up a stiff some stiff resistance, but as he would say some school boy errors.

Another game played between Alex & Dan.
In Dominate Alex took a bit of a beating here losing heavily. Dan 1590vp Alex 275.
Which leaves the final game in this group, a playoff decider for Alex. Can the President save Marks bacon?

A few weeks back the final game in this league was played, with Alex being the winner. Alex 1421 vp's The President 479 vp's
The President had one of his better games, & know doubt has learned a lot in his competition journey.
So unfortunately the President, along with Mark M are eliminated form the competition.
Thanks for your input guys.
League table updated.

The Selwg tradition is the organiser doesn't win his own competition, someone better up their game for this to continue.

The Selwg tradition is the organiser doesn't win his own competition, someone better up their game for this to continue. Didn't Marc win the whfb comp he jointly ran? I have noted that this group is the only one with no draws. I like to think we were all fully committed to claim victory. All or nothing.
