For those of you who don't use Facebook or haven't seen the post, I've created a survey to get some feedback on the format of any future 40k tournaments which are run at the Club. Any feedback is appreciated, particularly from those who are a little hesitant at getting involved.

Thank you for your input which has been really valuable and we've already got a draft set of rules for next year's tournament written (thanks Ben!).
Personally I'm quite pleased with the outcomes and am looking forward to enjoying a few "old school" games next year.

Just to kick off the discussion that will no doubt follow the results of the survey. Matt and I had a cracking game last night
No forge world
no super heavy/lords of war/D weapons
lots of basic codex options I.e troops, elites, heavy's etc
only 1 flyer in game (shame on you Matt 😀)
Mind you we did have 13 drop pods between us which was great fun
We easily played played the game to the end and it was very bloody.
It showed me you don't need uber competitive builds and a cheese fest to have a really good game of 40k . Yes I did have such an army in this years comp but in my defence so did nearly everybody else.!
A move away from this would in my humble opinion be a refreshing change
