Two more quarter finals played last Friday.
Alistair played Dan, with Dan as the victor. Dan will now face Antonio in the first semi final. Dwarfs v Elves how historical.
In the other quarter final I played Neil H with EOTD. With so many objectives in Pillage the shambling horde were struggling to Get round the table. Victory to me & I play the winner of our second "Elf off" between George H & Michael M.

Final quarter final played between Michael M & George H last Friday.
By all accounts an entertaining game, with Michael coming out on top.
So the semi final match ups are now complete.
Neil R v Michael M Antonio L v Dan W
We could yet have an all Elf final despite my best efforts to avoid such a conclusion.
Remember the scenario for the semi's is Kill & Pillage.
Good luck to all.

We now have an unfortunate change to the semi final line ups.
Dan W has had to withdraw from the competition, so his defeated quarter final opponent Alistair A will now face Antonio in the semi's.
The other semi final is unaffected.

Last Friday Michael & I played our semi final game.
Playing kill & pillage this proved to be a quite cagey affair with cover being sort out by me to avoid the Agincourt syndrome.
Michael was on the back foot at the start, with some awkward person placing objective markers in the 3 corners of the deployment zones. So Michael had to decide whether to ignore them (lose 200vp per token) or garrison them & take his archers out of the game.
Michael did this with one horde of archers, & regretted it as they virtually did nothing in the game, spending the rest of the battle trying to get back into the action. So with all the action taking place in the centre I was able to coordinate my close support shooting (Efreets) & charges causing disorder to these shooting/flying units which really restricted Michaels options when it came to his turn.
So this means I now face the winner of the Alistair/Antonio semi final.

We now have the result of the remaining semi final between Antonio & Alistair.
In kill & pillage Antonio was the victor, so he will now face yours truly in the final.
All is not lost for Alistair as he has the 3rd/4th place play off against Micheal M.
Hopefully these will be completed by mid January, & so we then can move onto the 2018 competition.

What's the scenario for the final? Looking forward to taking part in the 2018 competition, there will be a new Clash of Kings update to the rules in January, might be an idea to incorporate that if possible.

The scenario for the final & 3rd/4th place play off will be dominate.
As far as i am aware the 2018 competition will be containing some, if not all COK rules.
I would point out that next years competition will be run by a different person. Here at SELWG we try to rotate the organisers so that competitions do not become stale & new concepts can be added.
