Welcome Coaches, The 2018 SELWG Blood Bowl League is about to start!
The commissioners will use this thread to update rules and answer any questions you have.
Just some notes about a few things raised before the league gets going...
~ Everyone by now should know which division they're in. The first part of the League will be the group stages, each Coach will need to play each other Coach in their division twice, one Home game and one Away game. These are the official league games and are the games that will contribute to your league stats (League points, casualties caused, touchdowns scored, etc). Coaches are encouraged to play Friendly games in addition to their League games, they will have no effect on your league standings but will be great source of Gold and experience for your players.
League Games - Coaches must tell commissioners that a game is going to be a league game before it happens, this is to stop Coaches deciding halfway through a game that its not actually a League match... Games will be played using the rules set out in the players pack. After the game has been played please send either Pete or me the results and please include: The score, who won, how many casualties each team caused, any changes to teams (new players, injuries, etc)
Friendlies - Games are played with the same rules as League Games. Once th games have been played please let Pete or me know the result and any changes to the teams, there is no need to record casualties caused, TDs scored, etc as friendlies will not affect your overall scores in these fields.
Please note that after Friendly matches the winning each team will get are D3+fame x 10,000 gold, however you will still be able to award a MVP award.
Once the group stages are finished the team with the most League points will progress to the next round, two randomly drawn semi finals, the winners of which will then play a final - deciding once and for all who is the greatest Blood Bowl coach ever!.. at least until the next league...
~ Calculating your FAME score - Just as a bit of an FYI, on page 26 of the Blood Bowl rule book is the method for calculating you FAME score, the basics are that each coach rolls 2D6 and adds their fan factor. If you score is less than or equal to less than your opponents then your FAME modifier is 0, if your score is higher than your opponents then then your FAME score is +1 and if you manage to have a roll of double or greater than your opponents then your FAME score is +2.
~ Special Pitches - For league games the Home team can decide if hey want to play on one of the special pitches. For friendlies coaches should decide between themselves where they want to play, if you cant agree roll some dice to decide...
