Hammer's Slammers 15mm SF game: Friday 9th March
I plan to run (ably assisted by Kevin Dallimore) a Hammer's Slammers game on Friday 9th March.
The setting is the 23rd century, scale is 15mm and style is hard SF. The game uses the rules Hammer's Slammers: The Crucible and all forces (and probably the scenery) will be supplied by myself.
It's suitable for between two and four players, each running up to a detachment a side (if, as you are inexperienced players, we want you finish easily in a single evening).
A detachment will be something like ten TUs - Tactical Units - per player (depending on the forces selected - it can actually be between 8 and 30 TUs) and each of these TUs is either an AFV of some kind or a stand of infantry (nominally four figures to a stand).
The rules and models are available from Brigade Models (with some support from other manufacturers like GZG); it's a d6 based system and - in it's basic format - it is simple to play, although there are lots of optional rules for extra detail for those that want it.
