Dear all, Mikes competition has come to an end, and congratulations to Chris Richards for his win. I have the hankering to run another one... and this time, I think it would be good to theme it late. So, if people are interested, I suggest armies to be chosen from the Late Medieval section of the ADLG lists. It still gives people options, as you can obviously go knight heavy, but you could also go with Mongols and light horse, or Timurid with Elephants, so lots of choice. As we are restricting the timeframe, I think this time it would be worth letting people just pick which army they are going to use, and select the appropriate constituents from game to game. This does mean you will have to explain your list to your opponent and show it is legal, but means you can have a bit of flex from game to game. I’d be running it on a mini league and then knock out basis, as we normally do. I’d open it up to both 15mm and 25mm scales, if there is enough support. If you are interested, please let me know, and which (or both) scale you would be interested in.
I’d look at starting this in September, and, depending on numbers, hope to get it concluded by spring. Tony

Dear all, Please find below my current list of runners for the Later Middle Ages competition. I intend to do the draw on Friday at the club. If I have you in the correct competition(s), thats great. If not, please let me know which one(s) you want to take part in. At the moment Ive got 17 in 15mm, and 10 in 25mm, which isnt a perfect number, but I am sure we can sort this out.
To remind you, you need to pick an army list. You stick with this army for the competition. You can change the composition on the troops you take between games. Please let me know which army list you are using by Sunday 9th Sept, so you have a chance to think about it. Because the lists arent checked, you must exchange lists after each game so your opponent can verify it is legal. (there will be a big penalty if it isnt legal!) If anyone wants help checking a list is legal, I will do this with my customary impartiality and confidentiality. Just so you know I am not getting any unfair advantage, I will be selecting my army from the Medieval Spanish list.
15mm players Tony R Max Steve L Graham Mike George Neil H Martin Bryan E Chris R Chris M Gavin Ken Geoff Denis Brian W Steve T
25mm Players Tony R Dean Paul K Max Steve L Bryan E Chris R Gavin Brian W Joe B
If you know anyone that wants to take part, please let them and me know and I will chase it up. Likewise, if anyone knows someone email is different, please let me know and forward it to the correct one, i am unsure of Martin H email. It would be good for a few extra players to join in 25mm, I believe we have Paul G army to borrow, and someone who wants to try a useless selection can borrow mine. And Steve L is selling a nice medieval lot!
If you cant understand the naming convention, email/pm me and I will explain.
See you on Friday Tony
