Disproving the notion that faith in the Emperor alone is sufficient protection against even the mightiest weapons, I am sad to report the memorable death of Jakob the Corrector, venerable confessor and leader of Jakob’s Fury.
Caught off guard by a despicable sneak attack from an Escher plasma gunner, Jakob was instantly killed. No trace could be found of his mighty thunder hammer, which is now assumed lost.
Fears that Jakob’s Fury may break up in the aftermath of their leader’s death have been quickly quashed, with Jakob’s trusted lieutenant Hendrick the Unblinking vowing to avenge his mentor’s death and purge the gangs of the Underhive with even greater fury.
“I do not care for credits or rep,” Hendrick is believed to have said. “I just want to mess those Escher scum up.”
Elias Pick, a promising young hunter, was also captured in the skirmish.
