Not a competition, and certainly not a campaign, but the club will be holding an introductory evening on 3rd May for anyone who would like to try the De Bellis Antiquitatis rule set. We'll be using the current rules (v3.0) and 15mm armies on 2ft square boards and will aim for three games in the evening. If you don't have the rules, they are fairly easy to pick up and there is a Quick Reference Sheet which gives most of the details you will need. (Copies will be available on the evening, but you can download it free from the Society of Ancients website - www.soa.org.uk/joomla/publications) There will also be at least one experienced DBA player on hand to advise. Loan armies can be arranged and measuring sticks as well if need be. You will need one D6. So far, Paul Keyes, Martin Healey and Gavin Moore have told me they'd like to play. Please let me know if you would be interested in taking part (and if you need to borrow an army). Denis

A reminder that the DBA introductory evening is this coming Friday.
A slight change since my original post is that all armies will be provided. We have 10 pairs of historical opponents, which means we can accommodate up to 20 players.
The following have indicated that they would like to take part:
Graham B Chris C Ken C Si C Paul G Martin H Tim H Paul K Gavin M Mark M William M Chris R Tony R Dean T Matt T Steve T
There are another two prospective members who came last week and said that they would be interested in playing, but I didn't make a note of their names.
